Helen Hall composes music based on acoustic principles of resonance, harmonics and tuning to explore a continuum between music and sound, for many years. She is inspired by Nikola Tesla's unique understanding of nature, the lineage of his knowledge, and its inherent connection to acoustic principles of energy. http://helenhall.net
Star Music
“Star Music is a research project, exploring the natural music of stars. I began with recordings of the sounds of atomic processes within stars, transposed by astrophysicists into the range of hearing, and then reinforced the natural resonances, harmonies and difference tones of the stars with sine tones. The video includes stunning images of stars captured by amateur astrophotographers, archival footage from NASA, and cymatic images and sounds of stars originally created for the exhibit African Cosmos: Stellar Arts at the National Museum of African Art (Smithsonian Institution).“
